Welcome to Cerberus Research.
This blog post is our first memorial one!
I was too busy to publish the first one before. That’s joking, just because I was lazy and our concept was not fixed yet.
Then finally we started to work for our mission.
In this post, please let me intro our team and our mission.
About Cerberus
Do you know what Cerberus is? Cerberus is a doggy monster who has 3 heads. He is a gatekeeper who guards the gate to Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving.
As our concept, we are the gatekeeper to the crypto world.
We are going to guide our customers to the new financial standard which is powered by blockchain contract innovation.
About Team Kero
We’re organized by crypto related developers.
We call us Team Kero. Kero stands for a charming nickname of Cerberus.
At the first time, we were two people; Norika(me) and Eli.
Norika and Eli
We met at the Cosmos Hackathon which was held at San Fransisco, US in 2019.
We built a team and created a prototype using NFC card. We named it Crypto NFC. The concept was the crypto-integrated Suica card in Japan.
Then I joined the startup which he was working at that time. That startup is Tokyo-based crypto startup which is called Neukind.
After working at Neukind, I went to the small crypto hedge fund organized in Romania. There I learned a lot about quantitative analysis and future/option trading of crypto. Also I got the chance to publish my fist essay with a professional journalist friend of mine; Leigh Cuen.

In summer of 2020, while I was hustling on my mission to create crypto-oriented finance, DeFi summer happened and then passed away.
I was so regretful that I missed the first big wave of crypto finance.
One more thing what made me start our project is the huge culture gap I went through between at crypto space and at in-person business relationship in Japan.
I was feeling like my mind was living on the cyber space. Salary was Bitcoin. On the other hand physically I was a 23 y.o. girl living in Japan. I couldn’t explain what I can impact to others. Guys looked me an insane young girl. My mind and body was sort of isolated.
I considered how I can have a positive impact in more straightforward way.
I came up with the idea to connect DeFi technology to traditional financial business.
Then I talked with Eli while eating pancakes and started out technical investigation of DeFi technologies.
Crypto Developers
In July 2021, I participated in ETHGlobal Hackathon.
That’s amazing. This hackathon is well organized in a fully remote way.
Developer is joining from all over the world and they’re discussing passionately.
What I was so surprised was the big culture difference between TradiFi and DeFi world. Usually financial institutions are have sort of paranoia to prevent information leaking. Even a small tiny slide gonna become confidential. On the other hand in DeFi area, developers help each other to blush up their ideas of financial services. I was really glad to be there and it’s amazing experience.
Then though that hackathon, I met with Stefan and Thea.
Stefan is a senior developer who is living in Belgrade, Serbia. In this hackathon he got 3 prizes by his solo development. He is also passionate to organize the team well.
Thea is a CS girl who is living in Boston. She’s the youngest in our team. Her passion to DeFi technologies is so strong. She created our official logo.
So currently we are working full remotely. We have a huge time difference.
With the help of collaboration tools, we try to achieve our mission. Everyone has a motivation to improve the engineering culture in our team.
Thank you for your reading!
That’s our mission, our history and our team .
I will publish this blog post in a not regular basis. ^^;
